VIDEO: Peter Obi is ‘Touchlight’ for Nigerian National Unity — Governor Bala Mohammed

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has described former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a “touchlight” for Nigerian national unity, praising his consistent engagement across different parts of the country.

Mohammed made the remark during Obi’s visit to the Bauchi State Government House, where he commended the former Anambra State governor for his repeated visits to communities in the state, particularly schools.

“Mr. Peter Obi is a touchlight for us that we truly want to hold on to because he speaks about unifying the country and building it.

Obi, in his remarks, said his visits were aimed at strengthening unity and encouraging a Nigeria where opportunities are based on merit rather than connections.

The engagement is part of ongoing political consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, as key political actors continue to build relationships across party lines.
