Political Stakeholders Seek Jail Term For APC Supporter Who Claimed Obi Hacked INEC Portal To Score 6m Votes In 2023
Political stakeholders have called for the prosecution and possible jail term of an All Progressives Congress (APC) supporter who alleged that Peter Obi hacked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal to secure six million votes in the 2023 presidential election.
The APC supporter was speaking on Trust TV Daily Politics interview where he claimed Obi hacked INEC servers in the 2023 election and rigged Lagos results.
In a post on X, a political commentator, @GeneralSnow_ said the claim circulating on social media has no evidence and amounts to deliberate misinformation aimed at misleading the public and inflaming political tensions.

‘’Dear @PeterObi, I beg you with whatever you hold sacred, you must take this up! This is not twitter rant, this is a very serious criminal allegation against you. This man said you hacked INEC servers. This man must prove this statement.’’

Another stakeholder, Queen Bee @RealQueenBee_ described the allegation as false, defamatory, and capable of undermining public trust in Nigeria’s electoral process.

She argued that making unverified accusations about electoral manipulation without proof is a serious offence that should attract legal consequences, including prosecution.
‘’This Man said that Peter Obi hacked INEC servers in 2023 and rigged Lagos elections. This is a serious accusation, and if H.E Mr @PeterObi doesn’t take Legal action against him to prove this, people will have no reason than to believe and spread it.’’
