Hmm, if Goodluck Jonathan was a prophet, by now, myself and my family members, associates and friends would have been a member of his ministry, a least he would be able to warn us if there was a danger ahead.

However, minutes after the post was made by a Abdullahi Ayofe, a “staunch supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), independent fact checkers debunked the image as fake and Ayofe whose motive has been fulfilled (to mislead Nigerians), immediately deleted the post. While lying has become APC signature under Tinubu, the questions bothering me is how long would the APC government and its bigots continue to deceive Nigerians?
This shameless act is not just an isolated incident, it is a blatant attempt to exploit religious sentiments for political gain. The fake post exposes systemic issues in political communication it wasn’t just a manipulated photo it is a reflection of the administration’s approach to governance favoring optics and staged gestures over transparency, accountability, and genuine public service.
As I join many Nigerians in the chorus of criticism, of the tactics that undermine democratic principles and erode citizens’ trust in the political process, such incident should serve as a wake-up call for Nigerians as the 2027 general elections approach.
