VIDEO: Anthony Joshua Defeats Ngannou with Second-Round Knockout
Anthony Joshua claimed his fourth consecutive win with a second-round knockout against Cameroonian boxer Francis Ngannou in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” card held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Earlier victories in 2023 over Jermaine Franklin in April and Robert Helenius with a seventh-round knockout in August were followed by a fifth-round technical knockout triumph over Otto Wallin in December.
Despite Wallin’s reputation as a formidable southpaw opponent, Joshua dominated the match.
Joshua’s recent successes include triumphs over two fighters, Wallin and Ngannou, both of whom had previously challenged Tyson Fury to the distance in their bouts.
Ngannou’s past performance, notably his knockdown of Fury in their previous encounter, led many fans to believe he could cause an upset against Joshua.

However, Joshua defied expectations, showcasing superior boxing skills over Ngannou in the brief two-round bout, fulfilling his promise of delivering a knockout victory within five minutes.
After the match, Ngannou required medical attention and received oxygen in his corner following the knockout.
During the post-match conference, Joshua expressed his eagerness to face the winner of the Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk bout for an opportunity to reclaim the world heavyweight titles.
