VIDEO: Peter Obi Donates ₦10 Million to Abuja Hospital, Praises Healthcare Workers’ Commitment and Sacrifice

Peter Obi has handed over a cheque of ₦10 million to the Diocese of Kubwa Anglican Hospital in Abuja.

The former Anambra State governor visited the hospital and presented the money in person to members of staff.

In a short address, he thanked them for the work they do and spoke about the challenges they face in delivering care.

In the video from the event, Obi is seen standing with doctors and nurses outside the hospital building.

He holds the cheque while addressing the group. “Thank you. I love you for what you are doing here,” he says.

He explains that he had planned to visit since February but found the opportunity only now.

He describes the donation as his own small support to help them carry on.

Staff members, many dressed in pink uniforms, stand around him as he speaks.

One holds a microphone towards him. At the end of his remarks, the group claps and the cheque changes hands.

This donation comes as part of Obi’s ongoing support for health facilities across the country.

He has made similar contributions in the past to hospitals and schools, often drawing from his personal resources.

The Diocese of Kubwa Anglican Hospital provides medical services in the Federal Capital Territory.

Obi’s visit highlights the role of such institutions in communities where many people seek care every day.

Reactions on social media have been positive, with users noting the direct nature of the support.

Some point to it as an example of attention to health and human development outside of government channels.
