Supreme Court’s Delay On ADC Judgement Shows Judiciary Is Corrupt And No Longer Last Hope Of Common Man — Isaac Fayose

Public affairs commentator Isaac Fayose has criticised the Supreme Court over its delay in delivering judgment on the leadership dispute involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alleging that the judiciary is no longer living up to its role as the “last hope of the common man.”

He argued that the prolonged delay raises concerns about transparency and fairness in the judicial process, insisting that such situations erode public confidence in the courts.

In a video on X, he said “If judiciary is truly the last hope of common man, ADC and PDP judgment would have been out by now,” he said, questioning the pace of the court’s proceedings.

He alleged that political actors are already taking advantage of the situation, claiming that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are actively picking aspirant forms because of the unresolved opposition cases at the Supreme Court.

“My Lord, where is our judgment? Nigerians are scared that you people are not neutral anymore,” he added, expressing concerns over public confidence in the judiciary.

Fayose further argued that the delay is particularly troubling given the approaching expiration of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) timetable, warning that continued inaction could heighten political tension.
