NDC Should Be Careful About Receiving Internally Displaced Politicians Especially From APC, Whose Motives Might Be To Create Problems Within Opposition — Rufai Oseni
Media personality Rufai Oseni has warned the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC to exercise caution in accepting “internally displaced politicians,” especially defectors from the ruling All Progressive Congress APC, saying some may only be seeking refuge after losing political relevance within their former parties.
In a broadcast today, Rufai stated that the opposition party must carefully scrutinise the motives of incoming politicians to avoid importing internal crises and destabilising influences into its structure ahead of future elections.
According to him, many politicians leaving the APC may not necessarily believe in the ideology or vision of the opposition, but could simply be looking for a new political platform after being sidelined or denied opportunities within their previous camps.

People are trooping into the newly formed opposition coalition, the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), as political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
The movement, largely driven by dissatisfaction within the ruling APC and internal crises in major opposition parties, has seen several politicians, former lawmakers, party chieftains, and aggrieved aspirants align themselves with the coalition.

Sources within the coalition said many of the new entrants believe the NDC could emerge as a major force capable of challenging the APC in 2027, especially amid growing economic hardship and insecurity across the country.
