Tinubu Had Nine Trips To France Since 2023, Seven Of Them For Medical Reasons — Arnold Insists On Ill Health Claims, Months After Alleging Cancer Diagnosis

A former mayor of Blanco, Texas, Mike Arnold, has alleged that Bola Ahmed Tinubu made nine trips to France since 2023, with seven of those visits reportedly for medical reasons.

Arnold, who had earlier claimed a stage three cancer diagnosis, insisted that the trips were linked to ongoing health concerns rather than routine official engagements.

Arnold had recently alleged that Bola Tinubu travelled to Paris, France in January 2026 for stage three cancer treatment, contrary to official statements that the trip was for diplomatic engagements.

Arnold made the claim in a circulating online commentary, arguing that Nigerians were not being told the true purpose of Tinubu’s visit.

According to Arnold, the revelation was made by confidential sources.

‘’Confidential sources say Tinubu is seriously ill not overworked, not jet-lagged, sick. It’s said advanced cancer at least stage three, and that’s from older intel. The Paris trips aren’t diplomatic. They’re medical. This is common knowledge in the real corridors of Abuja. The question stopped being “whether” a long time ago.’’

The Nigerian presidency had earlier announced that Tinubu’s Paris trip was for high-level consultations with international partners.

In a new post he made on the health of the former Lagos governor, Arnold wrote “Nine trips to France since 2023. Seven of them medical,” insisting that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is suffering from serious ill health.

Arnold referenced reporting attributed to SaharaReporters and other sources, which also linked the travel pattern to repeated medical visits, alongside claims of significant international travel spending running into ₦36 billion within a single fiscal year.

He further argued that official explanations do not align with the reported frequency and duration of the trips.

According to the claims, the trips reportedly followed a recurring cadence between 2023 and 2025 — including visits in January, May, and September 2024, as well as October and November 2024, and February, April, June, and August 2025. Some of the trips were said to last between one and 19 days, with longer stays described as more intensive periods.

Arnold also referenced a September 2024 incident where footage allegedly showed the Nigerian leader being assisted into a vehicle outside St. Mary’s Lindo Wing in London. He further questioned a June 2025 visit to Saint Lucia, which he described as a possible “decoy” state engagement, suggesting it may have been arranged to allow private medical access.

He claimed the pattern resembles a structured medical cycle, describing it as similar to “21-day chemotherapy routines stretched across continents,” though these assertions remain speculative and unverified.

He also questioned the management of governance during the periods of absence, making further claims about informal power arrangements, while no official evidence has supported those assertions.
