‘My Only Crime Was Saying I’m No Longer Interested In Islam’ — Man Cries Out Following Attack By Extremists For Denouncing Religion (VIDEO)
A Nigerian man has narrated how he was violently attacked by a group of extremist clerics after he publicly announced that he was no longer interested in practising Islam.
In a video now circulating on social media, the Yoruba man, visibly distressed, said “Please help me, I said I’m not interested in Islam anymore and they came to break my door, please help me everyone”
According to his account, the clerics stormed his residence after hearing that he had renounced Islam, accusing him of committing apostasy.
He alleged that they forcefully entered his home, assaulted him, and attempted to compel him to retract his decision.
Further reports have it that the victim said he had been receiving threats prior to the attack but did not expect the situation to escalate into physical violence.
