International Religious Freedom Rejects Remi Tinubu’s Plea To Speak At Summit Over Deliberate Denial Of Christian Genocide in Nigeria — Mike Arnold
Social media commentator Mike Arnold has revealed that Remi Tinubu was denied a speaking slot at the International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit, for denying Christians persecution and killings in Nigeria
In a satirical cartoon shared on X, Arnold depicted Tinubu’s shock at being refused a platform, highlighting concerns from summit organisers over the spread of deliberate misinformation.
The decision reportedly follows a 8 February 2026 disclosure by US broadcaster Tony Perkins, who rejected Tinubu’s request to appear on his show.

Perkins accused her of attempting to whitewash Nigeria’s handling of Christian persecution, which Open Doors reports resulted in over 5,000 deaths in 2025.
Netizens on X while reacting to Arnold’s post, lable Remi Tinubu a “Jezebel” and accusing her of chronic dishonesty.
The responses reflect ongoing political and public debates over Nigeria’s record on religious freedom under the current administration.
Analysts say the IRF Summit’s refusal underscores growing international scrutiny over Nigeria’s management of religious violence, especially in regions where attacks on Christian communities have surged.
Observers note that global platforms are increasingly cautious about providing space to figures perceived to downplay or deny serious human rights violations.
Remi Tinubu has not publicly commented on the IRF Summit’s decision, but the episode has reignited discussions on social media about accountability and the international portrayal of religious persecution in Nigeria.
