Trump’s Fury Imminent Following U.S. Congressman Moore’s Submission Of Documented Christian Genocide In Nigeria
U.S. Congressman Riley Moore has formally presented a congressional report to the White House detailing policy measures to address the killing of Christians and the escalation of extremist violence in Nigeria.
The submission follows President Donald Trump’s redesignation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) for severe violations of religious freedom and comes after a months-long bipartisan investigation that included a fact-finding visit to Nigeria, congressional hearings, consultations with religious leaders, meetings with Internally Displaced Persons, and engagements with senior Nigerian government officials.
The report recommends negotiating a bilateral U.S.–Nigeria security agreement to protect vulnerable communities and dismantle jihadist networks, conditioning certain U.S. assistance on measurable action by Nigerian authorities, imposing targeted sanctions and visa restrictions on individuals linked to persecution, and providing technical support to counter armed Fulani militant groups.

It also calls for a review of Sharia and blasphemy laws cited in several persecution cases and urges coordinated diplomatic pressure with allies including the United Kingdom, France, and Hungary.
Moore said the investigation was informed by what lawmakers witnessed on the ground in Nigeria and stressed that deeper security cooperation with the United States would strengthen bilateral relations and improve stability.
The report builds on earlier congressional actions, including H.Res. 866 and the proposed Nigeria Religious Freedom and Accountability Act of 2026, and signals the possibility of further U.S. diplomatic and financial measures if there is no concrete progress.
Meanwhile, if found culpable of failing to address genocide against Christians, the Nigerian government stands risks of been sanction by the United States government, the sanctions could include, aid cuts, sanctions and visa bans among others.
