₦14BN LOBBYING FIRM: Moore’s Efforts Must Not Go Into Flames — Public Commentator Tells Trump To Reject Tinubu’s Image Laundering
A prominent Nigerian public affairs commentator, Mimi Yakigar has told President Donald Trump to reject what she described as image laundering by Bola Tinubu administration after the former Lagos State Governor paid over 14 billion naira to a lobbying firm to convince the United States that Nigeria is serious about protecting Christians.
The development which critics have said underscores Nigeria’s increasing reliance on foreign lobbying to navigate geopolitical pressures, have attracted condemnations from various corners.
Lending her voice to the issue, Mimi Yakigar who doubles as social media content creator called on Trump to disregard the firm and intensify his actions on recusing Nigerian Christians.
According to her, the development puts into danger works done by lawmakers, Ted Cruz and Riley Moore and others to eradicate genocide against Christians.

‘’Tinubu is spending $9 million (over ₦14 billion) on a D.C. lobbying firm, all the work did in Nigeria, all the truth-finding missions by Mike Arnold, all the bills raised by Ted Cruz and the U.S. Congress over Christian killing, wiped away with a $9 million lobbying contract.’’
According to her, ‘’the same country America had already placed on the “Country of Particular Concern” list for religious persecution simply paid to change the story, and paid the very political network with the loudest Christian voice in Washington.’’
She said any compromise by the United States Government would amount to breach of trust.
‘’So what was the value of all that suffering? Nine million dollars. What was the price of silence? Nine million dollars. A company linked to Donald Trump and Republican evangelical politics is now explaining why Nigeria is not what it was already officially declared to be. That is not diplomacy. That is image laundering.’’
