Nigerians Feel More Unsafe Than Ever – Amnesty International Blasts Government Over Rising Killings
Amnesty International has condemned the alarming rise in killings, abductions, and violent attacks across Nigeria, accusing the government of failing to protect its citizens.
In a post shared on X on Tuesday, the global human rights organisation said the Nigerian authorities must live up to their obligations by ending the escalating violence that has left millions feeling unsafe.

“The Nigerian authorities must live up to their obligations by ending the alarming escalation of attacks, abductions for ransom, and frequent killings across Nigeria that have left people feeling more unsafe,” Amnesty International said.
