Over 160 People Slaughtered In A Predominant Yoruba Town And Everywhere Is Silent Because You Love Tinubu More Than Your Safety — Netizen

Public anger has erupted on social media following reports that more than 160 people were killed in coordinated attacks on a predominantly Yoruba community, with a netizen accusing Yoruba people of choosing unjust allegiance over human lives.

In a widely shared post, a netizen on X Abiodun (@bin_gbada) condemned what he described as selective outrage and blind political loyalty, alleging that supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu were unwilling to demand accountability because of political allegiance.

“Over 160 people slaughtered in a predominant Yoruba town and everywhere is silent because you love Tinubu more than your safety,” the post read. “This is beyond politics.”

The comments have reignited broader conversations around insecurity, ethnic bias in public reactions to violence, and the perceived failure of political leaders to respond decisively to mass killings across the country.

His comment comes as Suspected Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday killed a large number of people in Woro and Nuku communities in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, in one of the deadliest incidents of violence seen in the region this year.

According to local lawmakers and humanitarian officials, the assailants stormed the villages on Tuesday evening, shooting residents and setting fire to homes and shops.
