‘God Will Punish You Oyebanji And Your Assembly’ VDM Hits Out At Ekiti Governor For Prioritising Excesses Over Health In 2026 Budget
Nigerian social media personality Martins Vincent Otse also known as VeryDarkMan has criticised Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for neglecting the health sector in the 2026 budget.
The governor presented a ₦415.57 billion budget, focusing on agriculture, infrastructure, and human capital development, but VDM argue it doesn’t prioritize healthcare enough with a mere 68 million naira budgeted for primary health care.

VDM also accused Oyebanji’s administration and the State assembly of abandoning critical infrastructure and social services, citing abandoned health centers and poor road conditions.

According to VDM, only ₦68 million was allocated to primary healthcare for a population estimated at over 2 million people, while lawmakers budgeted ₦120 million for their own medical supplies. He highlighted other controversial allocations, including ₦680 million for honorarium and sitting allowances, ₦650 million for welfare packages, ₦700 million for new vehicles, ₦500 million for furniture purchases.

VDM condemned the priorities, arguing that the government is neglecting the health needs of ordinary citizens while overspending on luxuries for officials. He urged Ekiti residents to hold their leaders accountable, warning that continued mismanagement will worsen living conditions.
