Under Incompetent Tinubu, Nigeria Battles Bangladesh For Worst Place To Live On Earth

Nigeria has emerged as the country with the lowest quality of life globally in the 2026 mid-year Quality of Life Index released by Numbeo, placing it below Bangladesh and 87 other countries surveyed.

The index, which evaluates purchasing power, safety, healthcare, cost of living, traffic, and pollution, positioned Nigeria at the bottom of the table, reinforcing concerns about worsening living conditions.

The ranking comes amid mounting economic hardship under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with many Nigerians grappling with inflation, insecurity, and declining purchasing power.

Low scores in infrastructure, governance, and public services significantly dragged the country down the index, reflecting everyday struggles faced by citizens across major cities and rural communities alike.

Bangladesh followed Nigeria in second place among the lowest-ranked countries, while Venezuela, Sri Lanka, and Egypt also appeared in the bottom tier.

Analysts note that while the index is crowd-sourced, it captures public perception of lived realities, including safety concerns, healthcare access, and environmental conditions which many Nigerians say have deteriorated in recent years.
