Tinubu thinks it’s necessary to find those responsible for the Oyo explosion.
ABUJA—Chief Bola Tinubu has referred to the regrettable explosion that took place in the capital of Oyo State, Ibadan, on Tuesday night as concerning and instructed all pertinent agencies to make sure that those responsible are apprehended.
About 80 people were allegedly injured and two were killed in the incident. Several cars, buildings, and other things were also damaged.
According to a statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu stated, “It is concerning that the cause of the explosion is being linked to the operations of illegal miners.” People who engaged in the unacceptable and careless behavior that allowed the tragic event to happen need to be found and dealt with.
President Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Oyo State government and people, and he urged all relevant government authorities to quickly investigate the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
In order to provide the victims with prompt and all-encompassing help, the President orders the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with the Oyo State Government.
