Under ‘Abominable’ Tinubu’s Mandate, Many Yoruba Traditional Rulers Could Be Murdered by Insurgents While Fulani Emirs Are Turbanned in Their Place — Gbadamosi
Political commentator Babatunde Gbadamosi has warned that many Yoruba monarchs are at serious risk under the current administration led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu following repeated attacks on traditional institution in the South West region.
Under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Yoruba traditional institutions are under siege, with rising threats against monarchs and cultural leaders across the Southwest. Recently, some armed men have killed the traditional head of Agamọ community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Kehinde Falodun.
Witnesses said the incident occured on Wednesday when the armed men attacked Mr Falodun at his Palace and abducted him before killing him in his palace.
This attack followed a similar incident in Kwara where terrorists kidnapped a traditional ruler in in the state, the Aniwo 1 of Aafin community in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Simeon Olaonipekun, and one of his sons, Olaolu Olaonipekun, during a late-night attack on his palace.
Reacting to the latest onslaught on Yoruba traditional institutions, Gbadamosi in a post on X warned that top traditional rulers in Yoruba land are at risk.
‘’Under the abominable @officialABAT, the Ọọni of Ifẹ, the Aláàfin of Oyo, the Osemawe of Ondo, the Ila of Ila Orangun, the Timi of Ede, the Olowo of Owo, the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode and other prominent Yorùbá Obas will be unalived, and Fulani Emirs will be turbanned in their place.
Mark my words, o ye Yorùbá bastards. This and more will happen, because you chorused Èmilókàn, and shamelessly sang “on your mandate”. The same will happen to all other indigenous nations in Nigeria.
‘’UNLESS there is an urgent and immediate awakening, and a massive, ferocious pushback until Tinubu, his APC Death Cult and their Fulani Muslim Jihadist Terrorist hordes are permanently neutralised.’’
