Tinubu Has Been Silent On Recent Brutal Murders Of Top Military Brass By Terrorists, Yet APC Excitedly Celebrates Defections — Political Analyst Onoja
Political analyst and legal practitioner, Ilemona Onoja has condemned Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his graveyard silence on the recent brutal killings of top military officers by terrorists, even as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) celebrates opposition governors’ defections to the party.
In a post on X, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had welcome the defection of Zamfara governor Dauda Lawal’s defection to the party with a post ‘31/36’ accompanied by a green tick emoji.
Gov Lawal on Monday in Gusau, through his Deputy, Malam Mani Mummuni, announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the rulling APC after a stakeholders’ consultation meeting.

Reacting to the post on X, Onoja hinted those deaths of the senior officers mark a significant blow to the nation’s security, yet there has been no official acknowledgment or public statement from Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
‘’This year we have lost 1 Brigadier General, 2 Lt Colonel, 2 Majors and not a word has been said by their Commander in Chief. But see what concerns these ones.’’
The development is coming at a time when the Nigerian military has suffered a series of heavy losses in the fight against insurgents in the northeast, with three commanding officers killed in separate attacks within one week in Borno state.
The officers were leading forward operations bases when fighters from Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) launched assaults on their positions.
The latest deaths bring the number of commanding officers reportedly killed in the last three months to seven, alongside one brigadier general.
