VIDEO: Tinubu Cannot Call Himself Commander-In-Chief When US Fights Insecurity, France Handles Tax Collection, And He Only Oversees APC Defections — Akah

Political commentator Peter Akah has intensified his criticism of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that the former Lagos governor has lost moral grounds to call himself Nigeria’s Commander-in-Chief when key responsibilities of the state are being carried out by foreign governments.

Speaking in a recent interview he shared on X, the political commentator and an advocate of good governance addressed some pressing issues including insecurity and corruption under Bola Tinubu government.

‘’You cannot have an egalitarian society, a country that has a commander-in-chief, where people will enter a community, go door-to-door, killing citizens and the commander-in-chief can do nothing.

‘’There are places in Nigeria state today where terrorists collect stacks from Nigerians. People, criminals are running sub-governmental levels under a government and we call it a society that has territorial integrity, terrorists are holding stakeholder meetings in the open in Katsina.

‘’What a shame, what a hopeless situation that we find ourselves, but we cannot be despondent because that is what they want. They want this country to be completely captured. Nigeria has almost been taken hostage.’’

He also condemned Tinubu for prioritising Politics over pressing national issues.

‘’Tinubu cannot call himself commander-in-chief. What is he commanding? A commander in chief that is sharing territory with terrorists, Is that a commander in chief? That is what we have reduced commander-in-chief to.

‘’So in Nigeria today, US helps to fight security, France helps you to collect tax and Tinubu is in charge of defections to APC, so maybe he’s commander in chief of defections or movement from other parties.’’
