Super Eagles player, Samuel Chukwueze has lost his mother, Sarah Chukwueze, after a brief illness.

The news was announced by his brother, David Chukwueze, on Instagram, with heartfelt tributes pouring in from fans and the football community.

This tragedy comes just days after teammate Wilfred Ndidi’s father died in a car crash in Delta State.

Chukwueze, currently playing for Fulham on loan from AC Milan, had been a key player for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
