Super Eagles Maintain Winning Starting XI Vs Tunisia For Mozambique

Coach Eric Chelle has maintained the starting XI from the 2025 AFCON group stage win over Tunisia for tonight’s Round of 16 clash against Mozambique.

That means that both Raphael Onyedika and Samuel Chukwueze, who shone against Uganda, will have to start from the bench tonight.

Jerome Akor again partners Victor Osimhen in attack, Ademola Lookman will play in “the hole”, while Frank Onyeka combines with captain Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi in midfield.

The defence to cover goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is intact – fullbacks Bright Osayi-Samuel and Bruno Onyemaechi with central defenders being Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi.
