Reps Urge FG to Distribute Food from Grain Reserve to Nigerians
On Tuesday, the House of Representatives pressed the Federal Government to promptly unlock the grain reserves and provide grains to disadvantaged Nigerians, aiming to address the widespread hunger in the nation.
The representatives underscored the urgency of the matter, emphasizing the need to alleviate food scarcity across the country.
This decision stemmed from the approval of a motion of national urgency presented by Mr. Ibrahim Isiaka, the representative for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in Ogun State.
During the discussion, Isiaka highlighted the severe economic challenges facing Nigerians, citing the escalating cost of living and expressing dismay over the soaring prices of cement, despite the country’s abundance of raw materials for its production.
