Plane Passenger Arrested After Masturbating in Front of Shocked Women During Flight
A passenger was arrested after allegedly masturbating during a SWISS Air flight from Zurich to Dresden on Monday morning.
The suspect, a 33-year-old German national, was reportedly caught engaging in the act in front of other travelers on Flight LX918.
According to Blick, a fellow passenger noticed the man with his hands in his pants around 7:40 a.m.—approximately halfway through the 73-minute flight—and immediately alerted the cabin crew. The disturbed passenger also requested to be moved to a different seat.
Flight attendants issued multiple warnings before the man finally stopped. Upon landing, Dresden Federal Police took him into custody.
During questioning, the suspect admitted to having been “active” in the presence of two female passengers but claimed he had done nothing wrong, insisting that he “did not expose his genitals.” He is now under investigation for causing a public nuisance.
Dresden police confirmed the incident in a statement to Blick, describing it as an “unusual occurrence that exceeded the bounds of acceptable behavior.”

A SWISS spokesperson also addressed the matter, stating: “A passenger engaged in intimate acts during the flight, prompting the crew to issue a warning.”
This incident comes just months after SWISS Air faced another scandal when crew members leaked CCTV footage of a couple engaging in oral sex in the galley of a long-haul flight from Bangkok to Zurich last November.
The explicit video, captured by cockpit-controlled security cameras, was later filmed and shared by crew members.
At the time, SWISS Air condemned the staff’s actions, stating that they should have “intervened directly” rather than recording the footage.
The airline launched an internal investigation into privacy violations and vowed to discipline those responsible.
