#OccupyNASS: Obidient Movement Plans Massive Protest To NASS Complex, Vows To Resist Efforts To Truncate Nigeria’s Democracy
Supporters of the Obidient Movement have announced plans to stage a massive protest to the National Assembly Complex under the banner #OccupyNASS, declaring their intention to protect Nigeria’s democracy from what they describe as attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to truncate democratic governance.
The development is coming less than 48 hours after the Senate rejected a proposal mandating the electronic transmission of election results, a decision that has drawn criticism from pro-democracy groups and election observers.

In a statement on X, National Coordinator of the movement, Dr Yunusa Tanko said the rejection has heightened concerns about electoral transparency and strengthened calls for civic action, leading to the planned #OccupyNASS protest at the National Assembly Complex.

The announcement has generated significant attention on social media, with the hashtag #OccupyNASS trending among supporters.
