#Occupynass2026: Obidient Movement, ADC Youth Wing, Other Patriotic Nigerians Storm NASS Complex, Reject Electoral Fraud Under APC Govt
Members of the Obidient Movement, the ADC Youth Wing, and other patriotic Nigerians have stormed the National Assembly complex in Abuja under the banner of #OccupyNASS2026, demanding an end to electoral fraud the APC-led government.
The demonstrators carried placards, chanted slogans, and called for urgent reforms to safeguard the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process. They specifically condemned actions by lawmakers that they say enable manipulation of elections and weaken citizens’ trust in democracy.
Organisers stated that the protest aims to pressure legislators to reject practices that compromise free and fair elections and to commit to reforms, including electronic transmission of results and stricter sanctions against vote buying.
The demonstrators described the protest as a wake-up call to the National Assembly, warning that Nigerians will no longer tolerate compromised elections or leaders who betray the people’s mandate.
They also vowed that pressure will continue until meaningful electoral reforms are implemented ahead of 2027 general elections.
