Moscow Attack: Russia Cancels Scheduled Friendly Match as 115 People Die

Russia has canceled their upcoming friendly international match against Paraguay, which was set for next Monday in Moscow.

This decision comes in the wake of Friday’s tragic shooting rampage near the capital city.

The Russian Football Union (RFU), confirmed this development today.

The shooting incident, where gunmen opened fire in a concert hall near Moscow, resulted in the loss of at least 115 lives. The Islamic State militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Just the day before the incident, Russia had secured a 4-0 victory against Serbia at Moscow’s VTB Arena. The match against Paraguay, originally planned for the same venue on Monday, will no longer take place.
