VIDEO: Key Points Raised By Tinubu During Visit To Benue

Bola Tinubu was in Benue State on Wednesday to sympathise with the people of the state over recent events that led to the death of hundreds of people.

He met with key stakeholders in the state, following the massacre in Yelwata, Guma Local Government Area, which sparked outrage across the country.

And in response to the crisis, Tinubu issued orders at the state governor and security chiefs at the Town Hall meeting.

He ordered that a Council of Elders be formed which would incorporate all previous Governors, including the former Governor of Nasarawa State.

He requested for land to be allocated for ranching by the state Governor

He urged the citizens of Benue to unite and collaborate against evil and live in peace with their neighbours.

He encouraged traditional leaders to collaborate with the government to foster peace.

He also advised Governor Alia to brace himself for criticism, adding that it is part and parcel of being a leader.

He encouraged the governor to metaphorically grab a lantern and reach out to fellow leaders to collaborate on finding solutions.
