VIDEO: With 176 Christians Still Missing, Gov. Sani Hosts Rally, Insists Kaduna Is Among Nigeria’s Safest States

Governor Uba Sani on Saturday held a rally amid pressing security concerns in the state where over 170 Christian worshippers were kidnapped just six days ago by Fulani Terrorists.

On January 18, 2026, suspected Fulani terrorists kidnapped over 170 Christians from three churches in Kurmin Wali, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

The Kaduna Government and police initially denied the incident, but later confirmed the abduction after public outcry and evidence emerged.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs warning that it will not tolerate violence against Christians in Nigeria.

However, as Nigerians expect updates from the government on efforts taken to rescue the captives, Uba Sani on Saturday led a motorcade to a rally just before he commissioned the Magajiya to Kasuwan Amaru Zaria township road on Saturday.

Speaking at the event, the governor noted that “despite occasional attacks by terrorists, Kaduna State remains one of the safest states in Nigeria, saying ‘’Our Peace Model is hailed as a pathway to peace and security.’’
