Nigeria on Cliff of Damnation, Needs Rescue — Ife Salako Reacts to Video of Soldiers Struggling for Food on Armed Forces Remembrance Day
The former Labour Party spokesperson in Lagos, Ife Salako has lamented that Nigeria is on the cliff of damnation and needs urgent rescue from the hands of Tinubu’s Government.
He made this statement while reacting to a video showing retired Nigerian military personnel struggling to get food during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day event held in Abuja.

In the viral clip, elderly ex-servicemen some visibly frail and weak are seen rushing and jostling in a crowd in an attempt to collect food meant for attendees of the ceremony.

Salako in a post on his official X handle described how disheartening and heartbreaking the scene was.

According to him Nigeria is on a cliff of damnation and needs to be rescued from the hands of those holding her captive.

His post reads,”That video of Nigerian Soldiers scrambling for food at the Armed Forces Remembrance parade was so heartbreaking that I can’t even share it.
“That video is a clear indication that Nigeria is not just a country of concern but a nation on the cliff of damnation.We really need to rescue Nigeria from the people holding her captive.”
