
BREAKING: Elon Musk Says X Hit by ‘Massive Cyber Attack’ as Users Unable to Log in

X has been hit by a “massive cyber attack”, according to Elon Musk.
The boss of the social media platform said the attack was carried out “with a lot of resources”.
Mr. Musk suggested that a large, coordinated group, a nation-state, or both were behind the attack.
Posting on the platform, he wrote:
“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X.

“We get attacked every day, but this one involved significant resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing…”*
According to tracking website Downdetector.com, around 40,000 users reported being unable to access the platform this afternoon.

Reports of outages surged around 10 a.m. on Monday in the UK, peaking again at 2 p.m. A source in the internet infrastructure industry told Reuters that the platform experienced multiple waves of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks starting at approximately 9:45 a.m.
The National Cyber Security Centre defines DoS attacks as attempts to overwhelm a website or network, either slowing it down or rendering it completely inaccessible.
