Ekiti United Staff Lament Non-Payment of December Salary, Club Secretary Says Governor Yet to Release Fund
HIFOXNEWS.com learned that employees of Ekiti United Football Club have not yet received their December salaries.
However, investigations reveal that players were eventually paid their December wages on Thursday following a work stoppage on Wednesday morning.
An anonymous staff member, who opted not to be identified, expressed uncertainty about the reasons behind the delay in salary disbursement.
“Sometimes you wonder when your salary will be paid. As I speak with you, we are yet to receive our December salary.

“Those running this club are not sincere. Sometimes they tell you the government has yet to release the club subsidy.
“There is no check and balance; it is unfortunate,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, it was discovered that inquiries about the outstanding salaries are typically met with the club secretary, Deji Olowolafe, stating that the state governor, Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has not released funds for the month of December to cover the payroll.
