Bola Ahmed Tinubu Has Made Nigeria, Africa Laughing Stock—Aisha Yesufu

Social critic and human rights activist Aisha Yesufu said on Tuesday that Bola Tinubu has turned Nigeria and Africa into objects of ridicule.

Her remarks were prompted by a tweet from Tinubu on Twitter (now referred to as X) in 2013.

In the tweet, Tinubu suggested that leaders who commemorate the late South African leader, Nelson Mandela, yet lack his discipline and moral fortitude obstruct progress for their people, thereby making Africa a laughing stock.

Yesufu dug out the post and shared it on X with her own post that read: “Another day to remind you that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made Nigeria and Africa a laughing stock.”

The social critic has launched numerous critiques and denunciations against Tinubu’s administration amidst the escalating hardship and insecurity prevailing in the nation.

Yesufu, in addition, openly expressed her lack of fear for her safety due to her opposition to the present administration. Instead, she affirmed her determination to persist in criticizing Tinubu’s government regarding the increasing economic challenges and deteriorating security situation in the country, highlighting Tinubu’s prior actions in similar circumstances.
