Bauchi Senator, Ningi Alleges ‘Political Undertone’ To Trump’s Sokoto Strikes, Says No Christian Genocide In Nigeria (VIDEO)
The lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Abdul Ningi has condemned US President Donald Trump for bombing Nigeria’s Northwest region on Christmas day, saying the move carries what he described as ‘political and moral undertones.’
Recall that the United States, under the directive of President Donald Trump struck terrorists’ enclave in Sokoto State with air strikes on Christmas day.
The air strikes took place after President Donald Trump of the United States designated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern‘, CPC, in response to allegations of widespread persecution and genocide against Christians.

Afterwards, Trump said he had asked the Defence Department to prepare for possible military action in Nigeria if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians”.
Reacting, the Bauchi Senator, questioned the move saying ‘‘there is an alleged assertion of a Christian genocide, yet the mission was sent to Muslim-dominated Sokoto State. If they were really interested in killing those killing Christians, they wouldn’t hit a Muslim domain.’’

Abdul Ningi who maintained there is no Christian Genocide in Nigeria criticized the operation, questioning Nigeria’s sovereignty and arguing that the National Assembly wasn’t consulted.
