VIDEO: Leave Prosperity Gospel and Act — American Activist Challenges Nigerian Pastors To Speak Out Against Genocide

An American humanitarian and activist, Mike Arnold has challenged the body of Christ in Nigeria, especially pastors to use their wealth and influence to end genocidal attacks on Christian faithful.

Christian genocide in Nigeria has been a major concern, with confrimed reports indicating that Christians are being targeted and killed by extremist groups like Boko Haram and Fulani militants.

Since 2010, an estimated 185,000 people have been killed due to faith-related violence, with 125,000 being Christians. Additionally, over 19,100 churches have been attacked, burned, or shut down, and 1,100 Christian communities have been seized.

While the Nigerian government has faced criticism for its handling of the situation, Some Nigerian pastors have been criticized for not speaking out against the violence and genocide faced by Christians in the country.

However, there are voices within the Christian community speaking out against the violence. A coalition of Nigerian Christian and civil society organizations has urged the US government to take action, stating that the systematic targeting of Christian communities constitutes genocide under international law.

Speaking in an interview, Mike Arnold faulted Nigeria pastors for prioritizing ‘’prosperity gospel’’ which he said has hindered them from taking a stand against genocidal attacks on faithful.
