AFCON: After Narrow Win Against G’Bissau, Peseiro Says Super Eagles Ready to Face Any Team
Despite a narrow 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on Monday, the head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has said his team has all it takes to face any opposition in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations
He has expressed his indifference regarding the choice of the opponent the Super Eagles will face in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The West African team secured their spot in the knockout phase with a 1-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau on Monday.
Currently, they are eagerly anticipating the conclusion of Group A proceedings to determine their upcoming opponent.
Peseiro’s team may encounter Senegal, Guinea, or Cameroon in the upcoming stage of the competition.
Nevertheless, the Portuguese assert that they are prepared to confront any opponent.

“We’re ready for meet any team,” he said in a post-match interview.
“I am not 100% happy because we deserved to finish top of the group.
“We deserved to beat Equatorial Guinea and then we would have had nine points.”
