AFCON: After the Super Eagles’ triumph over Cote D’Ivoire, the Sports Minister declares, “Keep winning.”
The African Cup of Nations is currently underway, and Sen. John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has congratulated the Super Eagles on their 1-0 victory over the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire.
Owan-Enoh acknowledged his satisfaction with the team’s performance in a statement released on Friday by the Minister’s media office.
“It’s impressive that the team beat Cote d’Ivoire, and it’s a positive indication of their extraordinary abilities.”
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria’s football-loving populace and president are all pulling for you to win all the way to the finish.
We all have faith in you to succeed in the end.
“Continue to win at every turn and take home the trophy.” We know how to accomplish it, we’ve done it before. The Minister said, “Let’s do it again.”
Enoh urged the coaches and players to stay focused, tenacious, and supportive of one another as the competition went on.
William Troost-Ekong scored the game’s lone goal from the penalty spot, giving the Super Eagles four points from two games in Group A, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
