A woman is in court accused of miscarrying her neighbor.

Olabisi Oyebolu, 34, was charged by the Lagos police on Friday for allegedly beating up her neighbor and causing her to miscarry.

Businesswoman defendant’s address is 33 Oluyeye St., Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State.

She is being tried for assault and conspiracy.

But she entered a not guilty plea.

The defendant committed the offenses on July 26, 2023, at her home, according to the prosecution, ASP Raji Akeem, who spoke in court.

The complainant, Mrs. Bunmi Olunlade, and the defendant got into a quarrel about cleaning their compound, according to the prosecutor.

According to Akeem, the defendant suffered physical abuse at the hands of her fugitive siblings, which ultimately led to her miscarriage.

According to Akeem, the offenses were under Sections 173 and 411 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Law.

The defendant was granted bail in the amount of N100,000 with two sureties in an equivalent amount by Chief Magistrate Mrs. Bola Osunsanmi.

Osunsanmi postponed the case’s mention until February 22.
