Stop Deceiving Nigerians, Terrorists Don’t Repent, When Caught They Only Pretend To Infiltrate And Do More Harm From Inside — Ejimakor Tells Tinubu
Human rights lawyer Aloy Ejimakor, has told Bola Tinubu to stop deceiving Nigerians over the idea of “repentant terrorists,” insisting that such individuals do not genuinely change.
In a post on X, Ejimakor argued that terrorists only pretend to repent when captured, warning that the strategy allows them to infiltrate communities and carry out further harm from within.
He cautioned that reintegrating such individuals poses serious security risks, urging the government to prioritise justice for victims and strengthen measures to prevent further attacks.

‘’Terrorists don’t repent & can’t be rehabilitated. Terrorism is a radical religious/political doctrine that admits of no repentance or rehabilitation. When caught, terrorists simply fold & pretend, so that they can infiltrate & do more harm from inside. Stop the self-deception.’’
His comments come less than 24 hours after the Nigerian government revealed plans to reintegrate over 700 repentant terrorists into society.
