‘Do Not Shoot Terrorists, Only Defend Yourselves When You Encounter Them,’ Top Military Commander Tells Nigerian Troops (VIDEO)
A senior military commander has directed troops to exercise restraint during encounters with terrorists, stressing that soldiers should only engage in self-defence.
In a video seen on X, the military commander was seen telling troops to refrain from engaging terrorists but rather prioritise self-defence.

According to him, troops should leave the killing for bigger platforms with better weapon and reach.
‘Do not shoot at Boko Haram. Only defend yourselves when you encounter them, because we have sufficient platform that should do that, and they have better reach than.’’

He also warned the troops against firing indiscriminately without killing a thing. The order comes amid ongoing counterterrorism operations in regions affected by insurgent attacks.
