Nigeria’s Insecurity Is Booming Because Tinubu Made Someone Who Can’t Secure His Phone From Being Hacked NSA — Mike Arnold Calls Out Ribadu Following Suit Against El-Rufai

A former Mayor of Blanco, Texas, Mike Arnold has intensified criticism of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, saying Nigeria’s spiralling insecurity stems from Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint “a man who couldn’t even safeguard his own phone from being hacked” to the nation’s top security office.

Arnold was reacting to the three-count charge against former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai over the alleged interception of communications belonging to Ribadu.

Last week, El-Rufai claimed in an interview that he and other unnamed individuals listened to conversations from Ribadu’s phone after it was tapped by a third party. While acknowledging that such interception is technically unlawful, he argued that illegal surveillance was not unusual.

However, the Federal Government, through the Department of State Services (DSS), filed charges against El-Rufai at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Reacting to the suit on X, Mike Arnold wrote ‘’So by filing charges against, NSJ (National Security Joke) Bugsy Ribadu admits his phone was hacked. So someone in charge of national security can’t even secure his own phone?  And he keeps his job? Insane. If you want to address Nigeria‘s security issues, that might be a good place to start. Duh.’’
