Presidency Blames Tinubu’s Stumble On ‘Not Well-Laid Blue Carpet’ By Turkish Authorities

The Presidency has allayed fears over the health condition of Bola Tinubu, who is on a state visit to Turkey, saying his stumble was caused by a not well laid blue carpet.

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, was assisted by officials after he stumbled and fell during a reception parade in Turkey.

A video sighted by Hifox News shows Tinubu losing his footing while exchanging pleasantries with officials during the parade organized in his honor.

He was subsequently helped back to his feet by several men.

Tinubu was walking with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan when he stumbled.

Speaking on the incident in Ankara whereby Tinubu stumbled during a welcome reception, the presidency said the incident was caused by the not well-laid blue carpet.
