Peter Obi’s Commitment To Education Could Rescue Nigeria From Terrorism – Salako

A prominent Nigerian entrepreneur, media personality and politician Ife Salako has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi’s education ideology, emphasizing its pivotal role in tackling Nigeria’s national issues.

In a post on X, the media personality who cited lack of education for young population as major catalyst for the surge in terrorism the country said it will take only a leader like Peter Obi to make Nigeria better and solve potential problems of the future.

According to him, as Nigeria grapples with an education crisis, with over 20 million children out of school and many more unable to read or write, Obi’s vision for education offers a gluing hope for the nation’s future.

‘’One of the reasons PO will always be my number choice in electing Nigeria’s President is simply because of his commitment to education, we returned to democracy in 1999 and it’s been 26 years so far’’

‘’Look at the boys involved in terrorism and kidnapping in Nigeria right now, they are between the ages of 15 to 35 years, If only these boys have been given adequate education, Nigeria would have been a better place right now, the uneducated children of yesterday are the terrorists of today’’

Obi’s track record speaks volumes, having donated over ₦110 million to various educational institutions across the country, targeting infrastructure development, accreditation support, and student welfare. He stresses that education is the greatest investment a nation can make, citing his own efforts to support schools in Anambra State, where he served as Governor.

Obi’s commitment to education is evident in his actions, having visited and donated to numerous schools, including Philomena College, St. John Vianney College, and Christ the King College. He emphasizes that investing in education is crucial for Nigeria’s development and future prosperity.
