VIDEO: How EFCC Operatives Arrested FUTA Students in Midnight Raid
According to reports, operatives believed to be agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission conducted a late-night operation at the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Ondo State.
Allegedly, student lodgings were breached around 2 a.m.
Various students have taken to social media platforms, posting videos and claiming that the individuals forcibly entered rooms and apprehended some students.
Footage circulating on social media displays damaged window frames, indicating possible attempts at unauthorized entry.
One social media user named J Brandy wrote, “I thought they said EFCC should not raid at nights again. This hostel (Celebrity Lodge, FUTA) is right behind mine. When will this endemic? EFCC (officials) moving like thieves at night!”
An individual clad in an EFCC jacket was spotted in one of the videos circulating online.
