40 Terrorists Invade Abuja Community, Kidnap 23
Approximately 40 bandits reportedly raided the Kawu community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday, kidnapping 23 individuals.
The Kawu community, situated near the borders of Niger and Kaduna states, became the target of the gunmen, who, according to the deputy speaker of the council and area representative, Abdulmumini Zakari, arrived from the Kuyeri Forest in Kaduna State on Wednesday.
He explained, “They divided themselves into groups and some went into the palace of the district head, Abdurrahman Ali, where they abducted his son, Lukman, and his wife, whom he married two weeks ago.
“Others attacked the compound of Alhassan Kawu, the Marafa of Kawu, and a former PDP Chairman of Kawu Ward. They abducted him along with his four children.”

He also disclosed that the bandits entered the premises of Sarkin Pawan Kawu, Gambo Pawa, and seized him along with his two wives and several children.
SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the incident to journalists on Thursday night. She emphasized that the attackers conducted a raid on the area and managed to escape into Kaduna State.
“Some unknown hoodlums stormed Kawu village, a borderil community with Kagarko LGA, in Kaduna State, and kidnapped people. The truth is that the miscreants raided that general area and escaped into Kaduna State,” she said.
Less than a day after reports of 85 individuals being abducted by terrorists at Katari along the Kaduna-Abuja highway near Katari in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, another incident unfolded.
In a parallel occurrence, 11 individuals were taken captive in the Sagwari Estate Layout within the Dutse-Alhaji area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The assailants, believed to be disguised as military personnel, reportedly invaded the community on Sunday.
